Winter Storm/COVID-19 Related Service & Agency Updates

The following partners have made changes to their services or operations due to the winter storm and/or increase in COVID-19 activity within the community (additional changes may occur at any time; please contact organizations directly to confirm hours and services):

*** Updates as of 1/28/22:

Emergency Shelter for People Experiencing Homelessness: Limited congregate shelter space will be available at the Housing Resource Center for unsheltered individuals. Individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness and need shelter for this weekend (4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28 - noon, Monday, Jan. 31) should call (757) 385-5167. For more information about closings, cancellations and storm-related information from the City of Virginia Beach: emergency.vbgov.com/winter-storm-january-2022.

PiN Ministry: Open Monday - Thursday and Saturday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. until further notice. They are limited to 24 people each day and will allow people services in shifts.

Judeo-Christian Outreach Center (JCOC): Meals will be served in to-go boxes (no meals served inside) until further notice. Due to possible inclement weather, Community Dinner on Friday, Jan. 28 has been moved from 5 p.m. to 2 p.m. Pantry canceled on Saturday, Jan. 29 and will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 1. Potter’s House
: Services are being delivered outside until further notice. No help with IDs and birth certificates. Still doing financial interviews.
