Winter Shelter2

Winter Shelter Starts Nov. 24

The Winter Shelter program provides homeless adults (18 and older) a warm place to sleep each night at various faith organizations throughout Virginia Beach. Individuals will need to check in each day that overnight shelter is needed. Shelter space is limited. Spots are provided through random selection (not first come, first served).

Check-in times and locations are as follows:

PiN Ministry, under a contract with Virginia Beach Housing & Neighborhood Preservation, operates the Winter Shelter program and provides participants with transportation. Participating faith organizations rotate weekly to provide overnight shelter and meals. Some organizations may also provide additional support and resources, such as toiletries and clothing.

Families with children experiencing homelessness who need overnight shelter should call the Regional Housing Crisis Hotline at (757) 227-5932, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
