BEACH is open to all individuals and organizations who want to be a part of the community effort to end homelessness. Our partnership currently includes representation from more than 30 faith, government, and nonprofit organizations. Through BEACH, our members are able to network and consult with the broadest possible range of experts, providers, and stakeholders working to address homelessness.
BEACH Governing Board
The BEACH Governing Board is a HUD-required entity that makes funding and ranking decisions about federal and state funding. The board is endorsed by the Virginia Beach City Council and provides recommendations to city staff and the Council on homeless policies and plans. Board members are elected by the BEACH Community Partnership, and its membership is comprised of representatives from local government, faith, schools, nonprofits, and regional organizations, and individuals with lived experience.
